Harrison's music combines elements of Celtic, folk, pop, country and classical. On Someday I'm Going Home," all but one of 13 songs are Harrison's originals, with three tunes co-written by Harrison and her husband, William. Recorded in Nashville, the album features contributions from notable studio musicians like Steve Sheehan, Pat McInerney, Andrea Zonn, Dave Francis, Jim Hurst, Ronnie Godfrey and Eric Rigler, the piper whose work was featured on the soundtracks for "Titanic," "Braveheart" and "The Devil's Own." Even among such musical heavyweights, however, Harrison's sweet, gentle voice commands center stage. Most of the songs are simply arranged with the singer backed by accoustic guitar, bass, strings, occsional keyboards and percussion.
While pop music fans might take time to become accustomed to Harrison's well-mannered voice, fans of Celtic or traditional Amercian folk music will immediately find much to like about "Someday I'm Going Home."
